Choosing interior paint comes down to three things: light, LRV and undertone. The same color looks warmer in a south-facing room and cooler in a north-facing one, so always judge a paint in the actual space rather than from a chip in the store.

LRV (Light Reflectance Value, 0–100) tells you how light or heavy a color will feel — high-LRV whites and neutrals brighten dim rooms, low-LRV colors add depth and drama. Every color page in this catalogue shows its exact LRV and undertone.

Undertones are the hidden hues beneath the surface — a gray that leans blue, a white that leans cream. They decide whether a color harmonizes with your floors, counters and trim, so check them and test two or three samples on the wall in both daylight and night light.

Complementary

Opposite hues on the color wheel (blue + orange). High contrast and energy — use one as the dominant color and the other as a small accent.

Analogous

Monochromatic

One hue in several values and tints (pale to deep blue). Serene and sophisticated, with depth coming from light and shadow.

Triadic

Three evenly spaced hues. Vibrant and balanced — keep one dominant and the other two as accents to avoid chaos.

Flat / Matte
